Traditional Kyuki-Do for kids, teens, and adults

Where confidence begins and black belts are made.

This sandbox is the first CMS-driven direction for Escambia Martial Arts: cleaner content management, reusable templates, and room to grow the main site and search-focused microsites under one system.

Why this is promising

  • No database required
  • Theme-driven layouts for the main site and microsites
  • Admin editing without Nicepage lock-in
  • Easy staging on DreamHost

First Pass

EMA sandbox direction

Main Site Templates

Turn the Nicepage export into manageable Grav templates with shared header, footer, and SEO structure.

Microsite Templates

Give search-driven pages their own landing-page templates without forking the whole codebase every time.

Module Integration

Keep the useful admin ideas from the current site while moving page content into a real CMS workflow.

Building the next EMA site in Grav

A CMS-first replacement path for the Nicepage era

This sandbox is the working lab for a more maintainable Escambia Martial Arts website.

The goal is not just a new look. The goal is to move the current site into a setup where:

  • shared templates replace repeated Nicepage exports
  • landing pages can be built as intentional microsite templates
  • content editing can happen inside a real CMS workflow
  • DreamHost staging and deployment stay simple

What comes next

  1. Convert the main site shell into shared Grav templates.
  2. Model the search microsites as reusable landing-page layouts.
  3. Decide which current custom admin tools should stay custom and which should become Grav-managed content.

Why this matters

Escambia Martial Arts already has strong content, strong branding, and clear program offers. This sandbox is about giving that content a better engine.
